A scooty cover earns its keep faster than almost any other two-wheeler accessory. Most scooters in India spend the night in a society parking lot or on the roadside, and the day outside an office or a market, in sun, dust and rain. The right cover keeps most of that off, but only if it suits your scooter, fits around any add-ons and is easy enough to put on twice a day that you actually use it. This guide covers how to choose one for the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access and TVS Ntorq, what water-resistant really means, and how to use and look after a cover. Neodrift's bike and scooty covers are listed model by model.
Quick answer
- Pick the page for your exact model. The Honda Activa 4G/5G/6G, Activa 125 and Activa i each have their own.
- Mention any add-ons before you order. Standard covers are made for stock scooters, so a top box or crash guard needs a word with the team first.
- Choose the tier by where it parks. The more sun and rain it faces, the higher the tier.
- Water-resistant, not waterproof. The fabric is breathable, so moisture under the cover can escape.
- Cover only a cool scooter, and never fold the cover away wet.
Why a scooter needs a cover more than you think
A scooter is mostly painted plastic panels, a long seat and a dashboard full of switches, and it spends far more hours parked than ridden. Here is what gets to it while it stands still:
- Sun. Hours of direct sun fade the body panels and dry out the seat. Neodrift covers use UV-resistant fabric, which takes the brunt of it instead.
- Dust. A fresh layer settles every night, and wiping it off dry every morning slowly dulls the paint. If you do wipe it, use a soft cloth; our guide on which GSM microfiber cloth to use covers bikes too.
- Rain. Water sits on the floorboard, collects around the switches and soaks into a cracked seat. Our guide on whether it is okay for a two-wheeler to get rained on explains what rain does over time.
- Scratches. In crowded parking, other riders' handlebars, mirrors and bags brush past your panels every day.

How to find your exact scooter model
Most people know they ride "an Activa" or "a Jupiter". To get the right cover, you need a little more than that.
- Check your RC. The registration certificate shows the model name exactly as the manufacturer sold it.
- Look at the badges. The side panels or the rear usually carry the model and, on newer scooters, the engine size, such as "125".
- Know your generation. The Honda Activa has been sold in several generations, and the Activa 125 is a different scooter from the Activa 6G. Neodrift has one page for the Activa 4G, 5G and 6G, and separate pages for the Activa 125 and the Activa i.
- Read the page title. If a product page shows no year, the cover fits all variants of that model.
- Not listed? Neodrift bike covers are made in three sizes, Medium, Large and XL, so you can still order by size.

Size and add-ons: why fit matters on a scooter
A scooter has a more awkward shape than it looks: a tall front apron and leg shield, mirrors sticking out at the top, a long seat, a grab rail at the back, and often a backrest or a top box added by the owner.
- Too big, and the cover flaps in the wind, rubs the panels and lets dust blow in underneath. On a windy terrace it can lift off altogether.
- Too small, and it strains at the seams, rides up, and leaves the lower body and floorboard exposed.
- Add-ons change the shape. Neodrift's covers are designed for standard models. If your scooter has a top box, a backrest, crash guards or other changes, message Neodrift on WhatsApp before you order to discuss custom options and make sure it fits.
What "water-resistant" really means
Neodrift's scooty covers are multi-layer, breathable, UV-resistant and water-resistant. They are not waterproof, and that is deliberate.
- In rain, the cover sheds most of the water. Small amounts may pass through, but they evaporate quickly without harm.
- Breathable fabric lets moisture out. A scooter parked on a humid night sweats under any cover. A sealed plastic sheet traps that moisture against the metal and electrics, while a breathable cover lets it escape.
- In a heavy monsoon, a cover is one layer of protection, not a garage. Park under a roof or shade when you can.
If you are wondering whether a cover helps with corrosion at all, our guide asks do bike covers really protect from rust and explains how moisture gets trapped.
Choosing a tier for where you park
Neodrift covers come in four material tiers. From the top, they are SuperMax, NeoMax, CrystalMax and JungleMax. A cover's life depends on the tier and the weather it faces, and the stronger tiers last longer in harsh conditions. So the question is not "which is best?" but "where does my scooter park?"
| Where it parks | What it faces | What to choose |
|---|---|---|
| Open terrace or roadside, day and night | Full sun, monsoon rain, dust | A top tier: SuperMax or NeoMax |
| Society parking open to the sky | Sun, rain, dust, and other bikes squeezing past | Any tier, going higher if it stays out overnight in the monsoon |
| Covered basement or porch | Mostly dust and scratches | A lower tier such as CrystalMax or JungleMax can be enough |

How to put a scooty cover on and take it off
- Park on the main stand, on level ground, with the handlebar straight.
- Wait until the scooter is cool. Never cover a scooter straight after a ride. Wait until the silencer is cool to the touch.
- Start at the front. Hook the cover over the front and the handlebar, then draw it back over the seat and down over the rear.
- Pull both sides down evenly, so the hem sits low on each side and the floorboard is covered.
- Use the lock feature. Neodrift covers include it for added security.
To take it off, lift it from the sides rather than dragging it across the body, so any dust on the outside stays on the outside.
Pro tip: roll it, don't bunch it
Fold both sides in towards the middle, then roll the cover from front to back. Next time, unroll it from the front. The dusty outside never touches the inside face that rests on your paint, and putting it on takes seconds instead of a minute of untangling.
Washing and storing the cover
- Shake it out after taking it off, away from the scooter.
- Wash it gently when it gets dirty, following any care instructions that come with it. Mild soap and cold water are kinder to the fabric than strong detergent.
- Dry it fully in the shade before folding, and never fold or bag a wet cover. That is how covers start to smell.
- Store it off the floor, rolled, in a dry place, so it is clean the next time it touches your scooter.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ordering by name only. "Activa" could be a 4G, a 6G or a 125. Check your RC first.
- Forgetting the top box. Add-ons change the shape, so mention them before you order.
- Covering a hot scooter. Let the engine and silencer cool first.
- Expecting a cover to be a roof. Water-resistant fabric handles everyday rain, not a scooter standing in a flooded lane.
- Dragging the cover over a dusty body. Lift it on and off instead.
- Using it only in the monsoon. Sun and dust do their damage all year round.
FAQs
Which cover fits the Honda Activa 6G?
The Honda Activa 4G, 5G and 6G share one Neodrift cover page. The Activa 125 and the Activa i have their own pages, so check your RC or badge before you order.
Will a scooty cover keep out all the rain?
Not completely, and it is not meant to. Neodrift's covers are water-resistant and breathable: they shed most of the rain, small amounts that pass through evaporate quickly, and moisture under the cover can escape instead of being trapped against the scooter.
My scooter has a top box and a backrest. Will a standard cover fit?
Standard covers are made for stock scooters. If yours has a top box, backrest, crash guards or other changes, message Neodrift on WhatsApp before you order to discuss custom options.
My scooter is not listed. Can I still buy a cover?
Yes. Neodrift bike covers are made in three sizes, Medium, Large and XL, so you can order by size even if your model has no page of its own.
Do I need a seat cover as well?
A body cover protects the scooter while it is parked. A seat cover protects the seat while you ride and in the hours you park without the body cover. Our bike and scooty seat cover guide explains how to choose one.
