VinFast VF6 & VF7 Launching in India on Sept 6, 2025 – Here’s the Buzz

If you’ve been following India’s EV scene, you already know things are heating up. Tata’s selling EVs like samosas at a railway station, Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 is turning heads, and now,  say hello to a brand new player: VinFast.

This Vietnamese carmaker is making its big India entry on September 6, 2025, with two shiny electric SUVs: the VF6 and the VF7. And the best part? They’re not flying in at crazy import prices. Nope. These babies are being assembled right here in Tamil Nadu. Desi banega, EV chalega.

VinFast VF6 – The Everyday Hero

Picture this: You’re stuck in Monday morning traffic, but instead of worrying about petrol bills, your EV shows a comfy 300+ km range left. That’s the vibe the VF6 is going for practical yet stylish.

  • Range: Around 410 km on a full charge. Delhi to Jaipur? Sorted.

  • Power: Two flavours — Eco (~177 PS) and Plus (~204 PS). Eco is calm, Plus has some punch.

  • Design: Slim DRLs, chunky SUV stance, and just the right size for city chaos.

  • Inside: A neat 12.9-inch touchscreen, dual-tone cabin, and a minimal dashboard that feels modern without being confusing.

Expected price: Somewhere between ₹20–23 lakh. That’s Nexon EV Max + MG ZS EV territory, but with a fresher design.

VinFast VF7 – The Showstopper

If VF6 is the daily driver, VF7 is the one you flex at weddings and family functions. Sportier, bigger, and definitely more premium.

  • Battery & Power: Packs a 70.8 kWh battery. Single-motor FWD (201 PS) or dual-motor AWD (354 PS). And yes, the AWD does 0–100 in under 6 seconds. That’s quicker than some petrol SUVs double the price.

  • Features: Panoramic sunroof for those starry-night drives, ventilated seats for Indian summers, ADAS for safety, and a fancy driver’s seat that adjusts more ways than you’ll ever need.

  • Looks: Think coupe SUV with sharp cuts and curves. Basically, it’ll grab eyeballs at every red light.

Price: Expected at ₹25–28 lakh. Competing with Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BYD Seal EV.

Why This Launch Matters for Us Indians 🇮🇳

  • Assembled in India = Cheaper: Tamil Nadu plant means no crazy import taxes.

  • Service Network Ready: 30+ dealerships already lined up across 25+ cities. So after-sales won’t be a gamble.

  • Loaded With Tech: ADAS, connected features, massive touchscreens, basically future-ready.

  • Festive Season Timing: Launching right before Diwali season. Smart move, VinFast.

Neodrift Accessories – Because Stock Is Never Enough

Let’s be real, nobody likes keeping their car completely stock. Neodrift car accessories make it easy to add your own touch, whether it’s seat covers tough enough to handle dusty roads and chai spills, car neck and back cushions for long drives, a car armrest for added comfort, clever organisers to keep your EV neat and tidy, or high-quality car covers to protect your investment. Designed with Indian roads and weather in mind, these upgrades turn the VF6 or VF7 into something that truly feels like your car.

Final Thoughts – Should You Be Excited?

The VF6 is for those who want a stylish, compact EV that fits into city life without stress. The VF7 is for people who want performance, premium features, and a bit of “look at me” factor.

Either way, VinFast entering India is a big win for us buyers. More competition = better options and (hopefully) better prices.

So, if you’ve been thinking of ditching petrol and going electric, this might just be your sign.
